John Konijn
John Konijn (pronounced KO 9). John has now had over 25 years experience in many facets of law and business.
John and his team are determined and motivated to provide a superior service; helpful, prudent and clear advice. We look for adding value and assisting with issues so as to avoid unfavourable and unwanted outcomes. We are known for taking a holistic approach rather than an isolated and impersonal one.
Most of his professional experience has been in the fields of property, both housing, urban developments, farming and subdivision, commercial law, estate planning, elder law, wills, trusts and supervising estate administration.
John attended NPBHS, leaving with an A Bursary and Taranaki Scholarship, attended Otago University, graduating with Batchelor of Law, attended Canterbury University completing the Law Society Bar exams and undertaking study in business administration.
After his OE, and working for the then Department of Trade and Industry as an advisor, joined the firm becoming a partner in 1987. He has completed a course in financial planning.
John is married to Suzie, a dietician, and they have three sons. Sport, as in skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, inline hockey, & tennis, is the focus of recreational activities; with a strong interest in landscape architecture and garden development.
Community involvement; latterly Exec. of Friends of Pukekura Park, lawyer to The Taranaki Multi Ethnic Society; He is also the Honorary Solicitor to various sporting, and health type organisations.
