Rajan Rai
Children are often thought of as
our future. Rajan's practice is strongly driven to look after the future
for our clients, whether in forming Family Trusts or being an advocate for
children in the Youth Court, or as their Lawyer in Family Court Proceedings.
Rajan is currently on the board for the Taranaki Youth Development Trust and is
working closely with others such as the local Youth Aid officer to ensure a
better future.
Rajan's court room advocacy
skills, insight and foresight are used in his daily practice and also in his
position as Executive Partner, promoting a strong firm culture with great people
and superior legal services.

Commercial and
Trust & Wills.
Rajan graduated from University
of Otago in 1983 with a LL.B degree and first worked in the firm
Lloyd Dodson Gartreill in Dannevirke. He joined the law firm of Buchanan Butler
& Rai in 1983, becoming partner in 1986. Rajan became a partner in our firm during the merger with Buchanan Butler & Rai in July 2000.
Rajan is married to Sally and
they have three children. Rajan is often found on the local fairways
playing golf and enjoys spending time with his family. He also has a
passion for motor vehicles.
